Learn to Talk the Talk when Playing Craps
The game of craps is an enjoyable game especially for first time players in the game. But before indulging in this classic casino game, a player must first learn the basic terminologies in craps so that they will be at least aware on what is going on in the game.
First are the aces, which is a dice roll of two times. When the dice is rolled two times and both times it shows a single dot, it is called an ace.
Second is the two way eleven. A lot of dealers like this one. When a player wagers a two-way 11, they are making a wager of an eleven for the player and the dealer. It is a good idea to give a tip to the dealers if you are doing well in your game.
Third is the any seven. This is a one dice roll bet and if the craps shooter throws a seven, the player wins. The wager pays the player at a four to one ratio. The Casino edge is high on this bet since it is a once dice roll bet.
Fourth is the big six. This wager can be found in the lower part of the layout. It is called a big six because the bet space has a big six.
Fifth is the big eight. It is the same as a big six but of course eight not six. The player will win if the craps shooter rolls an eight but they will lose when the shooter rolls a seven.
Sixth is the Big Red. This is another term for making a bet on the seven.
Seventh is Bones. The Bones simply means the dice.
Eight is the Black. This is another word for a $100 dollars cheque, which is also called chip by the layman at the table.
Ninth is Boxcars. This is a 12 - rolling six-six on the dice.
Tenth is Boxman. The boxman is the person who is sitting between the two dealers at the table. The Boxman makes sure that the payouts are given properly to the players.
Eleventh is the Boys. This term is the slang for the dealers. It may sound anti-female that dealers are called boys, but that is because that there were a lot of male dealers compared to female dealers back in the old days.
A player should learn some craps techniques in the game aside from these terms so that they can increase the chances that they will win in the game. But knowing these few terms will make it easier to have fun at the table and not be lost when you start to play.
