Win in Craps the Really Easy Way with Smart Bets and Dice Control

Easy Way to Win in Craps

Craps has some of the best and worst betting odds in the casino. To be able to play the game like a smart player would, you need to do two things: make the right bets and bet more on the right shooters.

Smart Craps Bets

Okay, we will start with making the right bets. You don't need to be a very smart person to make smart bets. All you need to know are a few terms: pass line, come and odds bets. You can ignore everything else in the craps table.

Pass line and come bets are the best bets on the craps table. Well, almost. The don't pass and don't come bets are also quite good. But you don't want to alienate the shooter or the other craps players. So keep it simple and, without further argument, bet on the pass line.

When a point is established, you can make a free odds bet. This kind of bet is not shown on the craps table because casinos don't want you to use it. This bet pays at the true odds. You make a free odds bet as a follow-up to your first pass line bet. The free odds bet is usually a multiple of your first bet. The more multiples allowed, the better your odds. Ten times the original is very good; a hundred times is not to be missed (good luck finding one). With the free odds, you almost break even in the long run.

How to Identify a Good Craps Shooter

Playing craps as described above would be enough to give you many, many hours of fun at a low cost. You won't lose much this way. However if you want to do even better - maybe even make money from craps - you want to look into dice control.

Dice control is an advantage playing technique with which craps shooters try to get the numbers they want on every roll they make. The good news is you don't have to learn it at all. You just have to find a shooter who already knows how! That's one of the nicest things about craps that set it apart from other games. You can bet alongside the player and win if they win.

To identify a good craps shooter, observe their behavior. Look for signs of handling and throwing consistency. For example:

- Try to see how the shooter sets the dice pair each time. If it is the same every time, you are most likely watching a dice controller.

- Watch how the shooter holds or grips the bones. Again, if they do it the same way each time, he or she is probably using dice control.

- Watch how the shooter throws the dice. A dice controller will roll the cubes at an angle of 45 degrees; the dice will fly together on the same axis and the flight line is perpendicular to the table wall.

- Observe how the dice fall. A good shooter with a knowledge of dice control can make the cubes fall gently. The dice will bounce only once or twice, hit the wall lightly and roll back.

- Finally, ask yourself if the shooter seems to be concentrating on what he or she is doing. A dice controller won't be making merry with fellow players. They will be focused on the craps game.

When you see a good shooter who's on a roll, you know what to do. Bet more and roll along!
